In Nature we find our true selves, and in Nation there is our salvation.

Combining influences from Romantic Scottish poetry,  (Thomson) and Chinese landscape painting, (where the artist is both philosopher and artist in the one gesture), the works originally manifest from the physical expressionist experience of the raw elements, having kayaked in the area. The work is a Post Expressionist _Romantic response to the original stimulus, brought into play by our crisis which to my mind highlights the need for both reassurance and a sense of belonging.  Nature as our guide but also our anchor.
