I’m a visual artist, a songwriter, a musician and a sociologist. I specialize in researching sound visualizing via Pop imagery. Mixing electro, psych-pop and field recording for my musical research led me to make many experimental shorts which I shot, edited and designed the music production for (music & sound design).
Intending to “film sound” and transform it into pictures, my approach strive to hinge my musical thought on postmodern visual aesthetics which draw its references both on psychoanalysis (dream and subconscious) and the symbolist, surrealist and pop-art artistic movements.
Music and pictures run on many rhythmic or aesthetical analogies and links in his works.
Music and pictures do communicate with each other.
Each animated shot received a specifc compositional labour (shape, colors, printing overlays, motion changes...)
His approach to moving pictures matched with a beat where visual emotions appeared and vanished in a kind of cinematic expressiveness devoid of real actors.
Since 2015, I expanded my research by using my video frames to create digital works on aluminium or/and plexiglas. Indeed, I redefined the dialogue between sound and moving pictures by developing a triangulation incorporating a still image.
