My current work in painting, is an exploration  which combines both the use of abstract composition and colour intuitively. The paintings evolve unconsciously alluding to space, illusions and sensitive states of mind. 

Geraldine O' Brien is visual artist living in Galway. Her current work is abstract painting where she explores both the use of abstract composition and colour intuitively. 

She has a  BA in Fine Art and in Sculpture,  MA in Socially Engaged Art Practice and has been a lecturer in design and drawing at GMIT Letterfrack Campus for many years. 

In 2019, She completed an additional add on BA Fine Art,  Level 8 degree, with First Class Honours in painting at GMIT Castlebar. She was also was a recipient of the RDS Long List award for graduates 2019.
