Our time is so different from the past. We cannot imagine a life without digital tools.
But it is not long since our parrents, grandparrents and great grand-parrents lived a total different live.100 years or two-three generations ago. Do they have anything to tell us?
What does the past tell us and can we learn something from them?
These questions inspire me to work om this textile project.
I want to convey stories about those who were before us,and pass them on to the next generations.
Photographs from old family-album inspire. I convert some of them into hand-woven textile-works.
It gives me the opportunity to enter alle the personal expressions that the people have left behind through the family stories about them.
