Artists residency - Ness of Brodgar Orkney

Feast and Found are two sets of pots inspired by the Ness of Brodgar Archaeological dig on Orkney made during Diane's 2018, 2019 artists residency at the 5,000 year old Neolithic site, at the heart of Orkney's World Heritage. The work uses found Orkney clay, and references feasting and foraging and Grooved ware designs, incorporating Skeuomorphic Orkney and Hebridean traditional basket ware styles.

Diane is a London bsed ceramic artist. Her work is inspired by ritual, emotional and spiritual inestment in objects, healing and power, and the historic resonance within place. She is chair and founding member of the ceramic arts collective The Associated Clay Workers Union and is a member of the Arts territory Exchange.
