St Kilda has inspired many of my paintings,since visiting in 2014. Having a family link to the Island informs my interest in this Archipelago, which draws people from all over the world.

In this work I was depicting the sheer scale of the cliffs.

i became fascinated by their free movement , each having a personality. I have painted them many times in various media, on a large scale. They have become a kind of symbol of my work .This is watercolour.
