Madeleine Ross

Statement

Much of my work seeks to explore how our physical experience of the landscape is coloured by the emotions and experiences we carry with us, and how in turn, being outdoors amplifies the topography of our mental state, for better or worse.

The second strand of my current practice is working to document through painting and sculpture the day-to-day of living with a degenerative condition.  Through this work I am seeking to enhance the language we use to talk about pain and its management.
