Karen Daye-Hutchinson is an Irish Artist who works in a variety of medium including Print, Artists Books and Sculpture. Educated at both Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Ulster. Her work is led by exploring identity through storytelling within the context of habitat and literature.
She has received numerous awards and fellowships throughout her career, including her inclusion in the Prestigious Prism Print International, and has been involved in roles within the visual arts to include former Trustee and Director of Belfast Print Workshop. Karen has exhibited internationally to include, Japan, USA, Canada, France, Luxembourg and Stockholm, Germany.
Current Exhibitions: Mapping
The ‘mapping’ exhibition hosted by Cultúrlann Belfast 2020 (27thFeb-27 August) takes us through a childhood journey of Belfast with a collection of Large Hand Drawn Maps, correlating imagery and symbolism; focusing on Women and Children.
The exhibition will feature collections of Artists Books, Drawing, Mono Print and Etching.
